These natural ammonite nodules were collected from the famous fossil beaches around Whitby on the Yorkshire Coast. These Jurassic nodules formed around 180 million years ago and contain beautifully preserved ammonite fossils inside.

These specimens are ideal for collectors who enjoy preparing their own fossils and selecting individual nodules rather than receiving a randomly selected box. Each nodule has been carefully chosen because it has a strong chance of containing a complete ammonite fossil.

To reveal the fossil inside, the nodules will need to be prepared using fossil preparation tools such as air scribes (air tools) or carefully split with a hammer and chisel.
