Collection: Whitby Unopened Nodules

Offered for sale here are boxes of unopened Whitby Ammonite nodules/fossils which I found on the beach near Whitby on the Yorkshire Coast. For each purchase the total weight will add up to roughly 1.8kg. All of which will contain ammonite fossils. They have signs of ammonites peeking out of the edge. Some will be complete nodules while others partials sections. Either Way they are very fun to open yourself.

You can crack these open using a hammer and chisel. Always use eye protection and the appropriate safety gear. Alternatively you can have them prepared using fossil preparation tools. Results may vary.

Please note these fossils are 100% natural and because of this I cannot guarantee the outcome once split.

These rocks are approx. 180 million years old. Lots of fun to be had opening these.
