A truly unique fossil specimen consisting of a coprolite preserved inside a pyrite nodule, professionally polished to a very high standard.

This is an unusual piece and not something I have come across before. The polished surface reveals a number of small black inclusions within the coprolite, which may represent remains from a fish or marine reptile.

Around 180 million years old, this fascinating specimen offers a rare glimpse into the diet and life of animals living in the Jurassic seas.
