A beautifully prepared example of a dactylioceras ammonite fossil found near Whitby on the Yorkshire Coast. The whorl has a pathology which would have caused this ammonite some trouble in life.

It looks brilliant on display. Very Unusual. It has a cutbase for display purposes.

180 million years old.

Upper Lias, Lower Jurassic, Whitby, North Yorkshire, England.
