Rare Gagaticeras Ammonite – 200 Million Year Old Yorkshire Fossil

A genuine Gagaticeras ammonite collected from Whitby on the Yorkshire Coast, one of Britain's most celebrated Jurassic fossil localities. Preserved within the Lower Lias, this fossil is approximately 200 million years old, dating from the early Jurassic when much of Yorkshire lay beneath a shallow tropical sea.

Gagaticeras is a recognised Lower Jurassic ammonite from the Whitby area and is an excellent addition to any collection of Yorkshire Coast fossils. Every specimen is naturally unique, offering the opportunity to own an authentic piece of Whitby's geological heritage and a real fossil that has survived for around 200 million years.
