Oxynoticeras & Gagaticeras Fossil Block – Multi-Ammonite Lower Lias – Yorkshire

A fantastic multi-fossil Lower Lias block featuring a Oxynoticeras ammonite, lots of Gagaticeras ammonites and small gastropods, all preserved together within a densely fossil-rich piece of seabed.

The matrix is packed with small ammonites, shell fragments and other marine fossils, giving the piece a really detailed and natural look. The surface has been air abraded to carefully expose the fossils and bring out the detail across the matrix.

A genuine Yorkshire Coast fossil dating back around 200 million years, offering a great snapshot of the diverse marine life preserved within the Lower Lias.
