This Whitby nautilus fossil was discovered along the Yorkshire Coast, one of the most famous Jurassic fossil localities in the United Kingdom.
Dating back around 180 million years, nautilus were marine cephalopods that lived in the Jurassic seas alongside ammonites and other prehistoric marine life. Fossils of these animals are far less common than ammonites, making them interesting additions to collections of Jurassic fossils from the Yorkshire Coast.
A beautiful and unusual fossil specimen for collectors of Whitby fossils and Jurassic marine life.
