Early Jurassic Asteroceras Ammonite – 200 Million Year Old Fossil

A genuine Asteroceras ammonite collected from Whitby on the Yorkshire Coast, one of Britain's most famous Jurassic fossil localities. Preserved within the Lower Lias, this fossil is approximately 200 million years old, dating from the early Jurassic Period when the region was covered by a shallow tropical sea.
