Amaltheus stokesi

A stunning and increasingly rarely encountered Amaltheus stokesi ammonite. Measuring 4.5 inches from the mouth border to the outer edge, this specimen displays the beautifully defined roped keel for which the species is so highly regarded. Examples of this quality are becoming exceptionally difficult to source from the Whitby area, making this a highly desirable piece for serious collectors. This ammonite has a small repair to the keel, but overall looks amazing!
