Offered for sale here are unopened nodules/fossils which I found on the beach near Whitby on the Yorkshire Coast. The box you purchase will be picked at random from our ammonite pile which has been collected fresh from beaches around Whitby. You will receive between 6-8 ammonite nodules, depending on the size and weight of the rocks.
All of these nodules contain partial or full ammonite fossils. They have signs of ammonites peeking out of the edge. They will come in a 5x5x5 (inches) Box, with a weight allowance of approximately 1.8kg and the ammonite nodules will be of various sizes.
You can crack these open using a hammer and chisel or have them prepared using fossil preparation tools. Results may vary.  (Eye protected recommended)

Please note these fossils are 100% natural and because of this I cannot guarantee the outcome once split.

These rocks are roughly 180million years old. Lots of fun to be had opening these.
