Ichthyosaur Vertebra Plus Skull Bone

A very unique piece here. Offered for sale is a ichthyosaur vertebra and a skull element next to it. I believe it is a Basioccipital Bone. An ichthyosaur basisphenoid, a bone from the rear of the skull which would have sat between the skull and the spine.

The Fossil shown in the pictures is the exact one you will receive. This is a good size and so would have come from a fairly large Ichthyosaur.

180 million years old.
