A genuine split pair Dactylioceras ammonite collected from Whitby on the Yorkshire Coast. Both halves of the original nodule are included, revealing matching positive and negative impressions of the ammonite within. Preserved within the Upper Lias, this fossil is approximately 180 million years old, originating from the Jurassic seas that once covered much of Yorkshire.
Split pair ammonites are highly regarded by collectors as they retain both matching halves of the fossil-bearing nodule, making them an excellent addition to any collection. Every specimen is naturally unique, offering an authentic piece of Whitby's rich Jurassic heritage.
