Rare Lower Lias Ammonite – Possibly Echioceras | Cut Base Fossil
Couldn't load pickup availability
A genuine Lower Lias ammonite, possibly identified as Echioceras?, collected from Robin Hood's Bay, near Whitby on the Yorkshire Coast. Preserved within the Lower Lias, this fossil is approximately 200 million years old, dating from the early Jurassic Period.
This specimen has been prepared with a cut base, allowing it to stand upright for display without the need for a separate stand. While the exact species cannot be confirmed with certainty, it is believed to be Echioceras, a less commonly encountered Lower Jurassic ammonite from the Yorkshire Coast.
Every fossil is naturally unique, making this an interesting addition for collectors seeking authentic fossils from one of Britain's most famous Jurassic coastlines.
