A genuine Leptechioceras ammonite fossil from Robin Hood’s Bay on the Yorkshire Coast, dating back around 200 million years to the Lower Lias (Early Jurassic).
Leptechioceras is a rare ammonite genus, far less commonly found than many other Yorkshire Coast species, making this a highly desirable specimen for collectors.
While it is difficult to identify this ammonite with 100% certainty due to its small size and preservation, it is believed to be Leptechioceras.
This fossil has been carefully prepared and features a flat cut base, allowing it to stand upright for display while showing off its natural ribbing and coiled form.
A 100% authentic Yorkshire Coast ammonite fossil, perfect for collectors or display, and an excellent example of a rarer Jurassic ammonite.
