Rare Double Hildoceras Ammonite Fossil – Cut Base – Yorkshire Jurassic

A rare double Hildoceras ammonite fossil, with two good-sized ammonites preserved together in the same piece. Double Hildoceras specimens don't come around very often, making this a particularly interesting fossil.

The rock has been cut at the base to give the piece a flat surface for display, with some restorative work to the keels of the ammonites.

A really impressive Yorkshire Coast Jurassic fossil, dating back around 180 million years, and a fantastic addition to any Hildoceras collection.
