A genuine Dactylioceras semicelatum collected from Whitby on the Yorkshire Coast, one of Britain's most celebrated Jurassic fossil localities. Preserved within the Upper Lias, this ammonite is approximately 180 million years old, originating from the ancient seas that once covered much of Yorkshire.
Dactylioceras semicelatum is a recognised species from the Whitby area and is highly regarded by collectors of Yorkshire Coast fossils.
