At BuyAFossil.com, we are a small family business lucky enough to live along the famous Jurassic coastline of Whitby on the Yorkshire Coast. From this remarkable fossil-rich region we offer a wide selection of genuine Yorkshire fossils for sale, all collected locally and carefully prepared.

Most of the fossils we offer are professionally prepared using specialist fossil preparation tools, allowing the natural detail of each specimen to be displayed beautifully for collectors.

Every fossil listed on our site has been discovered following natural rockfalls along the Yorkshire Coast of England, often from the remote and rugged beaches around Whitby. These fossils come directly from the source, making them authentic pieces of natural history.

The majority of fossils we sell formed around 180 million years ago during the Lower Jurassic period, specifically within the Upper Lias deposits of the Yorkshire Coast, unless otherwise stated.

Please note that because these are 100% natural fossils, some specimens may show natural cracks or fractures. This is normal and unavoidable with genuine fossils. We always aim to provide accurate identification and clear descriptions for every fossil we list.
